BRIDGWATER Town picked up their first point of the Southern League Division One South & West campaign last night as they drew 2-2 at Larkhall Athletic.
Callum Laird cancelled out a Kyle Tooze opener for Larkhall in first half, before a James Byrne screamer put the Robins in front 10 minutes from time.
Town were denied all three points after Jamie Lyons levelled matters again from the spot on 85 minutes – but the point they did take home was more than deserved.
The result came four days after the Robins went down 1-0 in their league opener against North Leigh at Fairfax Park.
Craig Laird’s side are now gearing up for Saturday’s clash at pre-season title favourites Hereford.
