Blake Bears RFC 64-15 HMP Bristol
BLAKE Bears RFC earned their second win of the year at the weekend after they put on a spirited display over HMP Bristol.
The friendly match finished 64-15 as the Bears were too good on the day and deserved winners.
The team, captained by Anthony de Burgh featured all the familiar faces and a few new ones, and everyone put in maximum effort.
The forwards and backs were all running hard and there was some expansive moments of rugby in the match.
It was a good advert for local social Sunday rugby with the game played at North Petherton RFC for a kick off 2.30.
A good crowd turned out to watch the match and of course head to the bar afterward.
Neil Baker of the Blake Bears RFC said after the win: "A 64-15 victory against a resolute HMP Bristol Prison Services side.
"So proud to be part of the Blake Bears RFC squad, love to you all, and thanks for another great afternoon of rugby."
