Enmore Park Seniors journeyed up the M5 to the Bristol and Clifton club – but the weather forecast did not play ball. The rain never relented and the 32 players got a real soaking.

In those conditions Enmore could only manage one outright win by captain elect Paul Waplington with senior's secretary Ray Hancock, whilst captain Mike Perry with Paul Hibberd managed a half point leaving a very familiar score line of 6 ½ to 1 ½ in the hosts favour.

Enmore Park seniors returned to home soil the following day, to entertain Oake Manor.

There were excellent wins by John Rigler and Dave Capron (7 & 6) and John Newell and partner Jim Symcox (7 & 5). Other outright winners were Ray Hancock and new boy Gordon Tizzard (4 & 2) and Roger Cross, with Martin Weston (2 & 1).

The other half point was gained by Jim McGuckin with Dave Brown making it a home victory by 5 matches.
