Wembdon 2nd XI 173-6 beat Ilminster 2nd XI 172 by four wickets

AN unbeaten 84 from Jordan Rawles led Wembdon 2nd XI to a four-wicket win at Ilminster 2nd XI on Saturday.

Rawles helped his side recover from the loss of four early wickets to guide Wembdon to their target of 173 with 11 overs to spare.

Liam Pigden (21) was the next top scorer, while 16 not out from Robert Paull provided solid support to Rawles.

Jon May (2-32) and L Knight (2-38) were the pick of the Ilminster attack.

Earlier, three wickets apiece from Tim Bennett (3-39) and Ethan Savage (3-16) saw Ilminster bowled out for 172 in the 44th over.

Mike Watts (2-30) and Max Sellick (2-26) were also in the wickets for Wembdon, to set up a second consecutive win.
