ENMORE Park’s men’s B Team secured a 3-3 draw in a hard fought match at East Devon on Saturday, with a birdie from Mike Sullivan on the last hole of the last game.

Whislers and Wyatts reach the national finals of the inagural English Golf Union Club Team Championships. Representing Enmore after winning Enmore's Mixed Captains' Event, they recently played Stoneham Golf Club in a best two from four format, scoring 78 points.

They achieved a top six finish to progress to Frilford Heath where the top 24 teams compete for the title.

On June 6, the Saturday Medal had some notable scores.

Looking at the twos list, Dave Bernard made a two on the par four fifth, while Enmore Stag winner Jake Webber had a two on the par four third - and the shot of the day came from Scott Bellinger.

Scott aced the par three second hole and also recorded two twos the next day in the Stableford.

The Ladies Medal also took place on Saturday with some good, low scoring.

In the Silver Division it was Jill Simpson whose nett 70 topped the pile, two ahead of Jayne Errington in second. The stand out winner in the Bronze Division was Mel Millar with a nett 73, six ahead of two golfers on nett 79.

On the Sunday (June 7) the Leonard Cup was played on Sunday with Julie and John Stafford edging out Annette and John Rigler on countback, after both pairs finished with 33 points.

Two couples closely followed on 32 points for third and fourth places. The winners can be seen in this photo. Photo attached

The men's Weekend Stableford was won by David Ballantine with 41 points, two ahead of Ron Brown and Scott Bellinger.

The Club Medal saw Joel Conion edge out Clive Legg in Division One after both finished with nett 70s. Division Two saw Douglas Read finish first with a nett 72, two ahead of David Morgan in second.

Last weekend, Enmore Park Seniors made yet another trip across the border into Devon, this time to the Honiton club.

On a sunny but breezy day Enmore experienced a middle order collapse not unlike some recent England cricket matches.

So in a seven match contest only pairs one, two and seven registered points meaning Enmore were losers by four matches to three.
