TWO rugby playing Bridgwater brothers are aiming for the top after both achieving top selections.

Carl Guest of Bridgwater College and coach with Morganians RFC Mini Rugby Team has been selected to represent Somerset under 17’s after county trials.

Carl a former Chilton Trinity Pupil was spotted playing for Bridgwater College and invited to the trials at Winscombe RFC where he was selected.

Carl’s younger brother Jamie, a Year 9 Pupil at Chilton Trinity and player with Morganians under 14’s Squad has been selected from over 280 players to form next season’s squad for the Bath Rugby Academy under 15’s.

Jamie was the only Pupil from the Bridgwater and surrounding area to be selected in his respective age – and now trains at Bath RFC’s training facilities at Farleigh House.

Proud Dad, Chris Guest said: “As Parents, Sarah and I are immensely proud of our children’s achievements and to have two children representing their respective College or school and Morganians RFC at this level is fantastic, their future is looking great.

“Both boys have played rugby since they were eight years of age and are aiming to play for a professional club or one day even their country.''
