Saturn 44, Swans 38

SATURN got off to a flying start taking a 14-8 lead against Wells' Swans in the first quarter.

With a different combination, it was a great team effort with everyone working tirelessly to maintain this lead. Morganne Dunne (GS) and Becky Hooper (GA) both shot well throughout and by the end of the third quarter Saturn were still ahead at 33-25.

After a change in defence due to an injury, Saturn aimed to play a game of possession to hold on to the win which they did, winning 44-38. POM Becky Hooper

Neptune 23, Bishops 27

BOTH teams got off to a very slow start, struggling to score a goal for the first half of this quarter and finishing the quarter leading four goals to two.

In the second quarter Bishops stepped up their game and Neptune struggled to keep up with them, allowing Bishops to catch up and take the lead by one goal.

The second quarter finished with Neptune trailing 12 goals to 13.

After the half-time break, Neptune stepped up the defence - and with some great interceptions by player of the match Lucy Brown and Julie McClean (GD), Neptune were able to regain some control and limit Bishops scoring opportunities, ending the third quarter trailing 19-21.

In the final quarter, Neptune defence maintained the pressure on Bishops shooters and with assistance from Chris Durant (C) with feeding the ball up the court Neptune tried to close the difference but unfortunately couldn't keep the momentum and finished the game losing 23 goals to 27.

Venus 36, Vipers 42

A PROMISING young Venus squad travelled to meet an experienced Vipers team in Paulton.

Despite a strong start from the opposition, key interceptions from Olivia Shorthouse and Chloe Trout in centre court managed to keep Venus in the game, finishing the first quarter 9-12 to Vipers.

Strong shooting from player of the match Cerys Etheridge and Juste limited Vipers lead - and Venus went into the final quarter 10 goals down.

Some fantastic interceptions from Emily Rossiter and great pressure on the attack from Annia Holleran and Mary King led to a strong finish for Venus, just six goals behind.

Mercury 20, Canons 39

MERCURY started the match with a new, young line up.

Despite tremendous effort from all, they ended the first half 20-5.

After making a few changes, Mercury entered the third quarter on a positive vibe with some great tactical play from player of the match Leah Davis.

The final quarter saw an injury to the GA, but despite this Mercury kept their heads held high and ended the match 39-20.
