Taunton Youth league Under 12’s League Cup

Wembdon Youth u12 Dragons 1, Bridgwater Wolves u12 Warriors 4

WHILST Dragons started the game with some early pressure from the kick-off and Alfie Griffin going close after good work by Jack Williams, it was Wolves that took the lead after Lucas Hurford scored in the fourth minute.

A fantastic pass gave Lucas Hurford the perfect chance to score the second Wolves goal which he dispatch with aplomb – and he sealed his hat-trick minutes later.

An effective team talk did seem to finally wake up the Dragons players who were unrecognisable from the team that started the match, as firstly Alfie Griffin shot wide and Will Stokes scored from 20 yards after capitalising on a weak goal kick.

Marcus Sewell was the next Dragons player to go close and whilst Wolves still played some very good football, forcing some fine saves from Travis Luck and again hitting the bar through Leyton Le Maitre the Dragons continued to press with Jack Williams and Marcus Sewell both going close to giving them the goal their improved play fully deserved.
