WITH the Bridgwater Town Ladies’ Skittles League season coming into its closing quarter, Castle Club A’s sixpoint lead at the the top of Division 1 may be enough to see them crowned champions.

However, their away match next week at the Blake Hall A, at the moment joint second, may hold the key to the championship. They still need to play the other second-placed side, GWR A, and their last match of the season at home against Market A (seven points adrift fourth) will not be an easy game.

At the lower end of the table, Blake Hall B and Sydenham Centre A need to find some form to escape relegation.

In Division 2, British Flag A appeared to be storming away with the Championship but this week’s loss at home to New Foresters B plus if they should lose at home to Lion’s Club B it will mean the two sides will be level.

If second-placed Bunch Of Grapes B should win at the Commercial A, it will be all change at the top.

And, at the lower end of the table, Commercial A need to find some form but the Lion’s Club A looked doomed for relegation.

In Division 3, it appears to be a twohorse race between the New Forester A and the West India House as the third- and fourthplaced teams have onefewer game to play and appear to have lost too many matches already.
