South-West Women’s Premier

Bridgwater Town 0, Frome Town 1

AFTER weeks of inactivity and cup matches, Town Ladies returned to League action but it still seems their luck hasn’t changed.

Town dominated this game and struck the post twice.

Frome keeper Hannah Christer made numerous saves to deny Town and, on top off that, Town had Naomi Marable taken to hospital with what looks like a serious knee injury.

The second half was a repeat and then, in the 50th minute, a cross eluded Faye Edwards in the Town goal and floated into the far side of the net.

This was the only effort Frome had on target.

Town pressed hard and Georgia Coles had probably the best opportunity near the end but missed the target with only the keeper to beat.

Next week, Bridgwater visit Brislington in the Somerset Junior Cup.
