ENMORE Park's club stableford was played on January 10 - and with the course holding up to the overnight rain, a small field battled the elements on a testing course.

Only two players beat their handicap with 38 points equating to level off the blue tees.

Peter Hanlon must have been in the zone as he scored 45 points resulting in a four shot handicap reduction Runner-up was Andy Bennett on 39, third spot was in form Paul Manley on 37 and sharing the two's.

Joy MaConnachie was the only lady entrant but scored an impressive 34.

The ladies had a nine-hole Bowmaker last week with Kay Taylor, Pat Chapman and Ann Morrison victorious with 38 points.

This was good enough to secure a one point victory over runners-up Joan Dovey, Karen Sammons and Heather Saxton with 37 points.
