A DEPLETED Gallery went through to the Rowbarton Cup quarter-finals after a 3-0 victory over Minehead.

Minehead provided Gallery with an own goal to get them on their way and striker Mark Pope playing alone up top scored the other two.

Gallery will meet Alcombe Rovers in the quarter-finals after their 4-0 victory over Woolavington thanks to two Dave Sowden goals, one from Andrew Land and a converted penalty from Jack Furse.

Staplegrove Reserves moved into the last eight without having to kick a ball as Fivehead decided the challenge was one too far and gave them a walk over.

In the Rowbarton Cup quarter-final, Locomotives beat Westonzoyland 4-3 thanks to goals from Ryan Mckenna, Ryan Vickery, Dean Quinn and Tom Edwards.

Division One leaders Bridgwater Sports opened up a 12-point gap at the top of the table with a 3-1 win over North Petherton thanks to goals from Jason Hitchcock, Paul Organ and Matt Fursland – Senna Clapp replied for Pethy.

Sampford Blues were 3-1 winners in a tightly contested game against Tone Youth – and Middlezoy Rovers Reserves came from behind to beat Wyvern Rangers 3-2.

Andy Smith equalised for Rovers with a lob over the ’keeper and Kyran Devitt won it for them with a 40-yard free kick. Liam Moore scored the opening Middlezoy goal.

In Division Two, a 2-1 victory for The Gallery over Stogursey was enough to take them back to the top of the table as previous leaders Alcombe Rovers were on cup duty.

Milverton Rangers had an easy afternoon beating bottom side Minehead Reserves 8-1.

Wembdon took the lead against Morganians when Craig Durant calmly converted a through ball. Morganians equalised five minutes before the break through Ben Chorley.

Early in the second-half, Andrew James of Morganians capitalised on a bobble which deceived the Wembdon ’keeper to put them 2-1 up and take all three points.

Bridgwater Sports Reserves beat local rivals Redgate 5-3 in Division Three, with Brendan Pope bagging two and John Wilde, Callum James and George Turner one each. Sam Anthony, Josh Bale and Dan Russell replied for Redgate.

The other game saw a 6-2 win for Alcombe Rovers Reserves over Galmington Dragons.

In Division Four, the game between Williton and North Petherton Reserves was goalless, both teams taking a point each.

The match between Bridgwater Grasshoppers and Galmington Dragons Reserves was a game of two halves, dictated by a gale force wind.

The visitors had a poor first 45 minutes lacking composure and giving away two silly goals to Grasshoppers, scored by Shane Thompson and Andy Hole.

After turning around Dragons came straight out of the blocks and dominated, scoring twice in five minutes.

They kept pressing for a winner and it eventually came in stoppage time – the scorers were Dave Chambers, Ollie Cross and Elliot Bevan.

The Gallery Reserves have leapt from fourth to top in Division Five after an odd goal win in nine against Hamilton Athletic Foxes (see the Big Match).

East Bower beat Bridgwater Sports Colts 3-2 – and North Curry were 4-2 winners against Nether Stowey Reserves.

Norton Fitzwarren Reserves won their first game of the season beating Bridgwater Wolves 3-1 thanks to two goals from Lewis Coward and one from Mark Beckhurst. Brad Walford replied for Wolves.
