AFTER a horrendous start, dropping six shots in the first three holes around his home course Jack Dray rescued himself and kept in the top ten of the Tour Players Championship finishing with a 75 gross.

Out in 40 shots and back in 35 a birdie three at seventeen helped keep him in that top ten.

Best score of the day was from James Smith with a 69 followed by Rhys Edwards, Dom Patton and Ronnie Mitchell on 71.

Team BC Golf Director, Ron Macrow said: 'This was a very good performance from Jack after a start which last year would have led to a score in the mid-eighties he kept calm and ground out his score giving himself every chance with two rounds to go of making the Players Championships in May'
