THE Ladies’ Gruesomes event at Enmore was won by the pairing of Carol Howe and Jackie Woodman with 17 points.

They edged out Fiona Ryan and Eileen Binding, and Sally Dymock and Jane Wright.

The special prize went to Betty Edney for the best single gruesome – she came in with 18 points.

In the 4BBB Turkey Trot, the outright winners were Lee Lewis and Mike Saffin, who came in with a brilliant 45 points.

This was enough to win by two points from two pairings tied on 43.

Edging into second on countback were C. Scobie and C. Netto with S. Rolph and H. Neal third.

Two more pairs were tied a point back on 42, but taking fourth spot were P. Hanlon and D. Bancroft with P. Verncombe and P. Howard in fifth.

C. Netto managed a hole-in-one on the 15th to top off a great day.

Gary Cook beat Jason Harris on countback to claim victory in the Singles Turkey Trot after both finished with 39.

Five golfers came in with 38 points, but finishing third after countback was Matt Lazenby.

The seniors’ event was won by Tim Smith, who finished with 38 points, one ahead of two golfers.

Edging second place after countback was Tony Fawle with Jim Symcox in third.
