A MAN was hospitalised following an assault behind a popular pub in Bridgwater in December 2023.
The incident took place between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday, December 17, in the alleyway behind The Blake Arms in Penel Orlieu.
A 20-year-old man was punched in the face by two men who then kicked and stamped on him, leaving him with injuries requiring hospital treatment.
A 22-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested as part of police enquiries. All three have since been released on bail.
Now, police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man who they believe may have witnessed the assault.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The pictured man, described as white and aged in his 20s, is believed to have intervened in the incident and we are keen to speak to them as a potential key witness in our investigation.
