A FAMILY-RUN local business in Bridgwater has completed its change of premises to the high street.

Flowers International has been part of the town for more than 50 years.

The shop was formerly based 2 Eastover but relocated to 27 High Street on Saturday, March 30 with a grand opening ceremony attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bridgwater.

A spokesperson for the business said: “Flowers International is a family florist in Bridgwater that was founded over 50 years ago and was run by Les Durston for many years until it was handed down to Beverley Crockett, who took over in 2006.

“Five decades on, this thriving florist has doubled in size and moved to our current larger shop 13 years ago.

Since 2006, Flowers International has been run by Beverley Crockett. She works with a team of three florists: Emma Jones, Suz James and Pauline Boyer.

Together, they specialise in wedding flowers for the bride, guests and venue and provide advice to make their day as special as possible.

The business also offers a sensitive and discreet service for funerals, with traditional or bespoke arrangements created to suit customers' requirements.
