BRIDGWATER residents enjoyed a celebration if all things work at a special network event.
Held at the Jean Rees Centre, which is part of the Elmwood and Penrose Federation, the opportunity was given for businesses that have worked with students to be congratulated on June 14.
Businesses were honoured for their part in providing work related learning opportunities and enabling pupils to gain skills required in the work place.
Some companies have supported particular projects, or provided a venue to sell the many high quality products that students at the centre make.
The students served refreshments including homemade biscuits and cakes and presented the businesses with certificates to thank them.
The certificates were graded bronze, silver and gold depending on the level of engagement and opportunities for the young people.
Two businesses were presented with silver certificates and the others with bronze.
Businesses and organisations who were awarded certificates as part of the
celebration event included DHL Morrisons, Scope, 1610, Victoria Park Community Centre, Sedgemoor District Council, Bridge Restaurant, Elmwood School, Chilton Trinity School, The Reach Centre, Aspire and Somerset Rural Youth Project.
