WOULD you consider caring for a child where adoption is likely, but not certain?
Could you contemplate adopting a child aged 3 plus? A disabled child? Or siblings?
If you said yes to any of these questions, join Somerset County Council for a Facebook question and answer event this July – from the comfort of your own home. Anyone interested in finding out more about Somerset adoption, or the Fostering for Adoption initiative, is invited to take part in Somerset County Council’s online Q&A from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday July 20.
Social worker Louise will be on hand to answer your questions.
You’ll be able to speak to the council privately through Facebook messaging, or post your questions on the www.facebook.com/AdoptioninSomerset Facebook wall.
Currently more than 20 children in Somerset, aged nine or younger, have adoption as their plan.
These include three sibling groups and babies who are being placed with Fostering for Adoption carers.
