Bridgwater’s popular Snowflakes and Shopping event sees Santa visit the town tomorrow.

The festive event will take place in the town centre on Friday, November 21, between 4pm and 8pm.

The Santa parade willbe arriving at the Cornhill at 5.45pm and the lights will be switched on at 6pm, followed by fireworks.

There will be lots of musical entertainment at Cornhill and Eastover starting at 4.30pm, as well as fair rides, a seasonal gift market and late night shopping.

Food and drink will also be available at various locations within the town centre.

The festivities will be followed by a spectacular squibbing display on The Cornhill at 7.30pm.

The Mercury can reveal this year’s winner of the Snowflakes and Shopping competition, Graham Grief, will be taking part in the display.

Winner of the junior category, Fern Hopkins, will be switching on the Christmas lights.

The evening of festive family fun concludes with the Salvation Army Band.

Road closures will be in place so visitors are asked to plan journeys in advance. Parking will be free in all district council-owned town centre car parks from 4pm.
