TWO men will be appearing in Bristol Crown Court today following a police investigation into courier fraud in the South West.

Rahim Choudhrey and Abdul Shafee, both aged, 18, of Wheeler House, Quaker Street, Tower Hamlets in London, were charged with a total of 10 counts of conspiracy to defraud their victims out of a total of £168,600.

Rahim Choudhrey faces 10 charges, with sums ranging between £1000 - £42,600, while Abdul Shafee faces five charges, with sums between £10,000 - £20,000.

They were arrested on Monday by detectives from Zephyr – the South West’s regional organised crime unit – in a joint operation with officers from the Met Police.

A third man – also aged 18 - who was also arrested as part of the investigation, was released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

The three men were arrested on Monday (August 18).
