A BRIDGWATER man is embarking on a 100-mile bike ride to raise money for charity and in loving memory of his nan.
Darren Cooper will be taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 to raise cash for the Stroke Association and for Ann, who suffered from a stroke and passed away in 2013.
Darren said the 100-mile ride would be “challenging” but he hopes to raise £1,000, adding: “I've already raised £880 through sponsors so hopefully I'll be able to smash that target.”
The RideLondon-Surrey 100 in August will sees riders cycle through the Surrey countryside and some of the capital's well-known locations such as the River Thames, Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square.
